Understanding Opioid Use in Anoka County


Opioid use is a critical issue in our community

Anoka County had the 4th highest number of opioid overdose deaths in Minnesota in 2024.

 100% of 2024 opioid-related deaths in Anoka County involved fentanyl.


But hope and help make a difference

For every opioid-related death in Minnesota, an estimated 13 people survive because help reached them in time.

Naloxone can reverse an opioid overdose in as little as 2-5 minutes.

Opioid overdose deaths in Anoka County decreased by 39% in 2024.

Free naloxone kits are available at all Anoka County libraries and over 23 convenient access points across the County.
